Hi Andres
Gee whiz.
I assumed that you and Jim had evaluated each others fix models. I further assumed that you, Andres, would see the correlation of the two or obvious differences.
Out of respect for you, I asked what I thought was a simple question, in admiration of your result. Perhaps it was poorly phrased.
Sorry to have bothered you
Brad

Hi Brad, are you talking about Jim Wilson, our friend in NavList, and the author of "Position from observation of a single body", and "The noon fix"?If so, can you give us some information about his MPP? thanks.
BTW. The fix by least squares, (Originally: Optimal Estimation of a Multi-Star Fix, C. De Wit. NAVIGATION, Vol.21 , No. 4, Winter 1974-75, pp 320-325), is the official method for sight reduction in the Royal Navy, UK, (Astro Navigation. The Admiralty Manual of Navigation Volume 2).
fair winds!
