Ken Meldrew said- "...(Laplace was in the "Bradman class" among mathematical physicists)" Is Ken referring to the Bradman I think he is, the famous Australian cricketing batsman of my youth? If so, will that reference be intelligible to his American readers (or even to fellow-Canadians)? Perhaps Ken has some hitherto-undisclosed personal history that puts him in awe of that great sporting hero. Or is there another Bradman altogether, one that I am completely unaware of?
