Re: [NavList 13971] Degree symbol input by Gary Lapook, and
[NavList 13966] angle symbols. was: A fluke of 0.0 intercept... by George Huxtable
Dear George and Gary,
Thank you for your very kind advices and recommendations.
However, from my end-point things might look a bit more complicated.
A degree symbol is displayed on my key-board, and when I use it, it will key a fine degree sign such as right now on the NavList "reply to message" window. (I am getting all NavList Posts in and out trough the Web http://www.fer3.com).
Now, what really puzzles me it that, although I just typed and proof read that the symbol is OK on my window,
- sometimes it will look OK when published by Frank's server (e.g. the last note in my recent post [ NavList #13964] which "triggered" this new thread), and
- sometimes, with exactly the same Web browser (I'm generally using OPERA) it will look like a black diamond - fortunately not a hissing one - with a question mark inside (e.g. my recent post [ NavList #13961])
So, for this somewhat "minor" issue - I do agree with you on that one, George - I am remaining really Puzzled, especially since ...
... Oh ! By the way I forgot to tell you that Skype is NOT installed on my Laptop.
It then REALLY makes things really harder to understand ...
Best Regards and
Thanks again
Kermit
