    Interesting theory, but wasn't Noonan a highly-experienced world navigator
    at the time (which was one reason that Earhart chose him for the flight)?
    I'd think that allowing for the Date Line would be second nature for him
    (and wouldn't that also be part of his pre-flight calculations for the sun
    line to make the turn in to Howland?), though I suppose it's also possible
    that fatigue could have caused a human error in this case, too.
