Today's linked image was taken from a jetty at Channel Islands Harbor from a height of eye of 19 feet. The distance to the left end of the breakwall is exactly .37828 nautical miles. Minutes of arc per pixel is .0975'.
What is the difference between measured dip from horizon to breakwall left end and the standard for the given distance ? (Santa Ana wind effect)
Extra credit-How far is the closest sailboat ?
Double bonus-How tall is the sailboat's mast?

note-for those without iPhoto or photo shop the pixel measurement from the horizon down to the breakwall left end is 238 pixels.
