With my eyes I couldn't see the fine line which is visible in the photos. The photos have been made with a 6x zoom. The original question was what type of atmospheric effect one would observe here. Some of the pictures give the allusion of a blank strip at the horizon which occurs with a strong inversion over the sea surface. The last pictures however show that some boats enter the strip, and that for this reason it can't be blind. Concluding from this, it looks very likely that in this case the strip reflects 'only' the same colour as the one of the sky. The coordinates are also those from my still "temporary" domicile at: 40.90174N 29.1595E. The height I can only guess: around 20m a.s.l. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
