Carl, Thanks for passing this along to the group. In addition to 'get well' cards and 'merry christmas' cards, Don would be very happy to receive emails though he has been so swamped with mail that he may not answer. His address is don.treworgy[at]mysticseaport.org. Don is an expert in navigational instruments and celestial navigation generally. He could surely use a little distraction right now, so if you're going to send 'get well' wishes, may I suggest asking him about something navigational, too. For those of you who have never met Don, he is a very cheerful guy who loves horrible, horrible puns. He's extremely generous with his time, and I am sure the one thing that drives him nuts about being sick (apart from being sick itself, which is miserable, and chemo, which is worse) is the fact that he cannot be helpful around Mystic Seaport at a time when the museum could use his help. Don loves Mystic Seaport more than anything else in the world. The prognosis is not good. Here's one account: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cholangiocarcinoma But Don is also a very healthy guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he out-lives all of us. -FER PS: His family pronounces the surname as if spelled "truer gee" with the stress on the first syllable (it's an old Cornish name from way back --Don's from Maine). --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
