Aluminium frame was also suspicious to me. But I know C. Plath did use aluninium frame, though I am not sure in which years. (It seems to me that aluminium frames were introduced in 1930-s by Hezzanith. More precisely they were "Duralumin" frames, as the one on the SNO-T.
