Aluminium frame was also suspicious to me.
But I know C. Plath did use aluninium frame,
though I am not sure in which years.
(It seems to me that aluminium frames were
introduced in 1930-s by Hezzanith. More
    precisely they were "Duralumin" frames,
as the one on the SNO-T. Duralumin is a hard
aluminium aloy used in aircraft industry).
