    While you are at it, it doesn't hurt to memorize a table of approximate logarithms.

    Log 1 = 0
    log 2 =. 3
    log 3 = .5
    log4 = .6
    log 5 = .7
    log 6 = .8
    log 7 = .85
    log 8  = .9
    log 9 = .95

    it is an easy pattern to remember.

    how about and abreviated version of star tables from your excellent almanac on an arm and then abbreviated version of your nav table (0-45° in 5' or 10' steps) on the other? the reduction sheet is not really needed but perhaps a version on a leg.
    and then a nocturne on the other to be copied to paper when needed? that should take care of longitude to within 2-3° or so at worst.
