A bit of trivia. What is the obliquity of the ecliptic to the nearest hundredth of a degree? On the list recently, you may have seen 23.45 degrees and also 23.44 degrees. It is (maybe!) interesting to note that the correct hundredth of a degree to round to has changed relatively recently. Anybody care to work out the date? On what day did it slide from 23.45 to 23.44? When was it 23.4450000.... ?
