I like to use the navy's celestial navigation data website as the standard for comparing other computations at : http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/celnavtable.php I sent the following to them: I was looking for data for 0744 Z, July 2, 1937, 7 -00 North, 158-00 east and found a bug in your program as it puts out incorrect data for mars. At 0743 it gives incorrect data for Alphard. Similar errors at 7-20 N, 152 E for July 2, 1937 at 0459 Z error for sun data; 0312 Z error in Sun and Venus data; 0809 error in Mars data. It appears that there is a bug in the program. These errors were glaring and easily spotted but I calls into doubt all of the data that might have subtle errors. see attached image of erroneous data. gl
