pictures of my computer solution and plot. It's fairly messy.
Suprisingly the moon was my best line.
You can see the letters jumbled in the middle of the plot. Those are
the retarded AP's of the different body from the GPS fix which was the AP for
the sight. You will see that I don't retard the lines, just the AP and
plot the intercept from these new AP's.
One of my biggest problems is that I shoot so close to the fix
time that the distance to retard was at most about 3 miles, and often under
1nm, and that is hard to plot on such a small scale. It would be even
harder on a universal plotting sheet. I think that my graphical errors in
plotting are the biggest source of my position error on a regular basis.
Of course those with better drafting skills then I have can certainly reduce
this error greatly.
