Glad it worked out for you Greg, I was very befuddled how you got those 2
hours, especially not knowing what time zone you were in.
I was taught the Dlo method first at school and I always had trouble with
it. I would have to draw diagrams on my paper to figure whether I was east
or west of the zone meridian, which took added time during my tests; which were
speed runs under the best conditions. Fortunately, I found the Arc to time
to UTC method which helped out a bit.
If it makes you feel better, the only Celnav problem I ever got wrong
in my USCG Nav exams was a sunrise in South Lat, East Longitude. I
subtracted the arc to time conversion instead of added! Silly me.
