    I must thank everyone who provided data for me to solve this one.  I got a sight error of 0.2' which isn't too bad.
     
    A ship is sailing in the Southern Seas and observes a lunar
    distance between the near limb of the moon and the planet Mercury.
     
    Lat 36 deg 31'S
    Long 26 Deg 20.8'E
    Crs 246 Spd 15.5 Kts
     
    Index correction is -0.8'
    ZD -2
    Date 25 August 2009
