Interesting conjecture. It does fit in with all of the element of the ‘flood myths’. The one drawback is that the ‘flood’ doesn’t come as such. Even if you engage in only costal navigation,
then you have seen the land sink below the waves. I have never seen any reference which calls this optical illusion a flood.
Not saying that it couldn’t be or that you conjecture is wrong. I just don’t know how you can prove your conjecture valid.
