This is somewhat off topic, but Frank's inclusion of Janet Taylor's business insignia begs a question I've never gotten a suitable answer to: How did such an undesirable situation as a fouled anchor become such a universal nautical symbol? Although I've seen numerous timelines and histories of the adoption of the symbol, I've never heard an explanation of why knowledgeable seamen would have chosen to accept and embrace this embarrassment in the first place.
