Dear All, I have joined this goup today. In fact I was in search of a grp like this. I have problem if any body can help or share his views: We know that a free gyroscope kept horizontal on the north pole will exhibit a turntable movement alone. We also know that a free gyroscope on the equator - east/west - horizontal will tilt with the east end rising and so on. We conclude that the turntable movement is maximum at poles and zero in the equator and the tilting movement is maximum at the equator and zero at the poles. Also we know that this way the spin axis of the gyroscope always point towards a imaginary star callled a gyro star. Question is : How will a free gyroscope move when initially set horizontal at the equator with a azimuth of say 045 degs (Not East-West) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ NavList message boards: www.fer3.com/arc Or post by email to: NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList+@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
