    My understanding from the TSB report was that the crew had no role in entering the data, it was ground staff that did so.  That does not absolve them for not checking the work. Also it was entered wrong in both the primary and backup machine.  And the actual flight crew had no training in the use of that model GPS and the company management/IT did not understand underlying issues with its use either.

    There were 5 or 6 different times problems could have been caught by at least 3 different groups of people.  Tom is correct that this was more than just Pilot Error.
