You are of course absolutely right.
Btw I am still working with the LaPook-Bygrave Slide Rule. In fact this fall my Boy Scout Troop is going to the beach for a camping trip and the shoreline faces east so we will be doing sun sights and noon sights and get them thinking about navigation a long time ago. I will also have the appropriate sections of H.O. 249 for working problems.

And the day doesn't "start" at Greenwich. At noon GMT it is already tomorrow at the International Date Line.
