The Hansen's Improved Ex-Meridian Table is very compact and easy to use (good size for the sextant box). Two quick look-ups gets the required correction. The Hansen table correction is good up to one hour before or after MP vs. Bowditch 29 and 30 which is good to 28 minutes of time before or after MP. Unfortunately declination is limited to 23* which leaves out a bunch of useful navigational stars.
