Hello All,
I am new to this board. I am still shooting cel. out of the cockpit of a 737. I am an airline Captain and former B-52 Navigator. I can only select two bodies with ZNs at my 9 and 12 O'Clock positions. Instrument and radio lighting reflectivity is challenging as is the position of the inst. panel glare shield.
Still using the old SAC precomp forms. Shot Sirius and the lower limb of the Moon the other night and was 6 miles off of the GPS position. I am using a Bausch & Lomb A8-A sextant. No computers, everything still old school. Just the Air Almanac, HO249s, and an E6-B.
Anybody still into this? My First Officers think I'm nuts.
Larry
