You might not believe this but I just finished drawing two precomputed sun altitude curves for my flight today. The first one is for the destination airport and the second for my return. I drew them so that I can do landfalls at each airport. I will be using an A-7 for these flights. ( I also have an A-10A, an MA-1, an MA-2, and several Kollsman periscopic sextants. I am bringing another pilot with me (and our wives, we are going out for the proverbial $100 hamburgers) so he can hold the plane steady while I take the shots.
I am glad to hear that I am not the only one left on the planet that still uses a sextant in flight.

BTW did you use the Polhemus computer in your Air Force days?
I love it, it makes plotting the LOPs quick and easy. See:
