    Guy Schwarz asked-

          Thought this might be interesting to others, I have never heard
    of Robertson's Elements of Navigation. Is it an old book? Here is the
    site address http://southseas.nla.gov.au/refs/falc/1441.html

          William Falconer's Dictionary of the Marine

     =============================

    From George.

    Robertson is a famous and respected navigational text-book of the 18th
    century, that went through many editions.

    Falconer's Dictionary is also well-known and reliable, and it's useful
    to know of a web address where it can be consulted.

    In general, I have rather a dislike of reading stuff from the web,
    preferring to curl up with a good book if I have the option. But a
    dictionary, or encyclopaedia, is quite another matter. A website seems
    to be the natural format for looking things up there.

    George.
