Byron:One more thing that is why I like the bearings for fixing positions on the chartover the 3 arm. The lines of position can be viewed and evaluated for intersection by the plotter. The three arm user must be careful not to pick weak Navaid selections. In the case of 3 Navaids near or on the circle encluding the observe the three arm position will run the entire circle as a fix, with no clue. Where the lop drawn by the bearings will give parallel lines as a clue.
Selection in both cases is important. You can get on the circle for a weak fix or nonfix, if you don't know about it.
