Correction, for a cloud 2-5km the hole in the cloud to see the sun at midday (i.e. straight overhead, assuming straight edges) would need to be 47m at the top (19m at the bottom) And the point was that a 50m hole is a lot more likely than a hole some 3000x bigger or 150kms across!
