I be an early riser and watching the sun edge its way over the horizon across the bay most mornings is about as good as it gets when it comes to recognising your place in the general scheme of things.
There is great variety in a sunrise from Kiplings 'the dawn comes up like thunder' to the very opposite where there is a virtual timidity in the dawn light. In reality we need little to inspire us to philosophy, art or poetry, it is there in the living of the moment, the wonder of life itself.
