This refers to Ken James' inadvertent, and no doubt embarrassing message, sent out in error under the thread "How does the AstraIIIb split mirror work?". I know that Ken has asked us to ignore it, and apologise in advance for knowingly breaching the spirit of this list, which will no doubt bring some well-deserved bricks, aimed at my head. But as an outsider from abroad, I simply can't resist making the following observation- Unintended disclosures are always revealing, and this one opened my eyes to the level of the arguments on which choice of the next leader will rest. Not on capacity to govern, but on the level of valour, or otherwise, displayed in a somewhat-inglorious war waged thirty years ago, the lessons of which seem to have been entirely forgotten. I will say no more on that topic, and don't intend to offend against list etiquette again in this way. Anyone wishing to chastise me appropriately, without adding further to off-topic list traffic, is invited to address me at home. George. ================================================================ contact George Huxtable by email at george@huxtable.u-net.com, by phone at 01865 820222 (from outside UK, +44 1865 820222), or by mail at 1 Sandy Lane, Southmoor, Abingdon, Oxon OX13 5HX, UK. ================================================================
