Heh. I thought perhaps there was a connection! And yes indeed. The current ebay seller knows about the Knorres Level from a year ago because I dredged up that information for him after some speculation about the purpose of that odd element on the index arm of his old sextant. And it was that discovery (for the seller ...who had then just bought this particular sextant) that inspired me to start the NavList thread that you're responding to.

Just one of those small world things. :)

PS: I don't personally know the seller, and the auction is a bit pricey for my wallet, but he is an established collector, and I would count this one as "safe" as a potential purchase.
