Hi Everybody, I hope you all are doing well and I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read this. My father, a scientific instrument maker for The Carnegie Institution of Washington recently passed away. I inherited numerous scientific instruments one of which is a United States Air Force Aircraft Sextant Type A - 10 A. I know very little about this instrument other than that it is used to navigate in an airplane. I don't know if it's missing any parts or if it works, etc. I was wondering if anybody could give me any information as to how I can find out if it works, if it has any value, or if it is best that I donate it to a museum or something. It looks like a pretty nifty device, so I know someone, somewhere, would like to have it. Any advice/information would be very much appreciated. Please email me at bmcwhort@gmu.edu if you can and are willing to help. Thanks again, Benjamin McWhorter --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
