Greetings,
We watched the meteor show here in the Pacific Northwest, USA. We had planned to go into the mountains but settled on the local park. The amount of ambient light and automobile traffic at 2 AM (0900 UTC, 12 Aug) was sobering but we observed some spectacular atmospheric interfaces! I noted some satellite as well and was reminded of the ECHO satellites of the 1960's. Those were promising days.
