Have you heard of ‘outsourcing’? These days if you call say, a bank’s phone number, you get to speak to someone in a call centre in Mumbai or the Philippines, whose company has won a contract to handle these calls on the bank’s behalf. The ‘service’ offered is limited, but that’s not the point here.

Came across an article in the paper about a local entrepreneur who has established a business offering coaching to high school students using tutors in India and …an interactive internet whiteboard.

As proposed here recently, this software could answer the wish that has been expressed regularly here for a blackboard, around which we could share diagrams and suchlike graphic communications; to go some way to overcoming the limitations of typed messages and distances separating us.

It seems it does exist, does work, and is being used on a regular basis.
