Brad and George, Thank you both for your prompt replies. The formula you provided should give a precise answer. But...I'm still left wondering how the editors of Dutton's got what they did. They make no reference to any formula, but rather tell the reader to go to Bowditch and look it up in the table. Is there a way that table could give them to the answer they show?
