Ahoy, recently TCM aired the Marlon Brando version of Mutiny on the Bounty, and man it was my childhood dream to have been able to sail aboard that recreated ship. Discussion of the K2 Chronometer got my interested too, and I found this site, a fairly decent rendition of the K2's role in securing the castaway's survival.

Its in English. Although the site itself is in Copenhagen and while limited, the site has a few good articles.
