I agree 100% with all of your points, and

regarding the "environment section" of your Celestial Navigation part, it sure has not changed very much in the past decades whether around Louisiana, or in the I.O. ! Some of your "sky to horizon" descriptions ring so many bells in my memories and my Heart !!!
