    I would say it’s approximately 29 15’S 070 43’W at about 03:50 in the morning.
    Clues:
    1. Orion is upside down, so southern hemisphere.
    2. The early bird catches the worm (or rattle snake or whatever. It’s a bigun).  Very early as it turned out.  Therefore, it’s probably west.
Consulting Harold Gatty in “Finding your way …..”
    3. Betelgeuse is about level with Sirius and lowish in the east.
    4. Canopus is a bit higher.
    5. It’s probably no special camera apart from fisheye, and there are streetlights on, so it’s probably dark outside.
    6. The photo looks like N at the top.  E to the left.
    7. Looking at the rim, it’s probably a large observatory site.
    8. Playing around with “Navigator – Star Finder” at 30S, 45S, 30W, 90W, zeroing in on 25S 80W, then 30S 72W Gives a very similar picture.
    9. Wikipedia “List of Observatories –  Ctl F Peru” gives nothing.
    10. Wikipedia “List of Observatories –  Ctl F Chile” Gives lots, but a great cluster at La Silla, Atacama Desert, Chile.
    11. Checked on Google Maps – Satellite.
    12. 71W is 4hrs 44min behind Greenwich
Where did the last three hours go?  I was going to finish my squirrel feeder, then study Lars’ “A day’s Sailing ….” this morning. DaveP
