Hi Gary,
I crunched some numbers and found the following:
13 sights series: SD 7.6, MAD 6.44 where MAD mean absolute deviation, a value that rules out sights of equal value but opposite sign of SD.
7 sights series: SD 14.3, MAD 9.75
It makes sense, another aspect that affects the SD, is the value of the spread over and below the average. In common terms, if the sights are more spread apart, time between sights longer and thus angles differences larger, the SD gets bigger.
I'll work out some tables with data and post them at the earliest.
