Interesting. This could be useful if the sky is cloudy except for a small patch showing some stars but not enough to recognize a constellation. It would confidently identify the stars (or the planets) without you having to deduce it by
other means. You then could take sights and process them. On the other hand, the gadget already has a built-in GPS... :-) However, the articles do not say whether the device actually displays your GPS position or uses it only internally.
