Hi In 1927 there is a Portuguese pilot that proposed some changes in the sextant that he used to make it more "user friendly". One of this changes was to make it left-handed in order to make it easier and quicker to write down his sights. He proposed this changes to the "Plath" factory who makes the sextants for air navigation in accordance with "System Admiral Gago Coutinho". I don't know how many of this sextants were made. I think I can get some pictures of this sextants. I'd like to know if I can send the pictures to the group? He makes the argument that a left-handed sextant makes it easier and quicker for a right-hander to write down his sights, which makes some sense. On the whole, though, I think I agree with Bill. > > I wonder if there are any lefties who would care to comment? Do you find using a "right-handed" sextant easy and natural? > > Will O'Neil
