    This one discusses some of the other navigation education opportunities for USN officers besides Annapolis. It again emphasizes, particularly in the latter half of the article, that this is educational development, extension, growth... what I would call "good for the soul" studies, and not practical celestial. And that makes a lot of sense.

    I'm still happy with my responses to Robin Young's questions on NPR (US public radio) last October when this story went viral: hear me on Here & Now back then. She was really working to get me to say that this was a wonderful thing, a return to the past, "go sextants!" and all that, but I tried to keep my answers tempered.
