Just by accident, I've seen few days ago the movie "Longitude" (2000) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0192263/ I am not sure that this is the same movie. It shows two stories: one of Harrison in XVIII century, and another of R. Gould in XX, how he restores Harrison chronometers. Interestingly, the story of Harrison stops at a low point, after he made H2, and concluded that he failed (to provide a convenient mean for determining longitude, and to win the prize). This is where the movie ends. They don't show the following years, when Harrison finally made R3 and R4 and won the prize. Alex. P.S. I've seen it in Russian, from a (very bad) pirate web site. So I do not send the address:-) > "It's very possible that this dramatization has already been discussed > here on NavList... > > http://www.youtube.com/user/ChronometerMan > > Has anyone seen it?" -Peter Hakel > > I hadn't heard of it.
