Bump for a second question.
Would there be a major shift between a lat/long from the "1860 epoch" and Google Earth's datum. I attached a page from A. D. Bache's coastal survey notes from 1861. The page attached refers to an astronomic station used in the mapping of the local waterway. Later in the text, it refers to the 1860 epoch.
