I guess I overlooked the message, but then again a grinch is now residing somewhere in our computer. I clearly remember my learning process and purchasing several different books trying to understand CN. For me, in hindsight, Celestial Navigation in a Nutshell by Hewitt Schlereth offers tne basics plus more to move ahead. The wording is clear and the sketches are excellent. I admit when I read through it the first time it was a bit trying. It is excellent and you can see it the second time and thereafter.
Keep at it.
