Wow! Very close, very quickly!
To generate the problem, I used:
03 27 00
38 53 24 N
77 10 12 W
My solution was:
3 27 03
38 56 23
77 11 39
It is, as was pointed out, sensitive to refraction. I used:
R= 58.276" tan (90-h)-0.0824" tan^3 (90-h), where h is true alt.
Impressive work on your part!
