You make many good points, George. I have mostly tried to rearrange information that was already there (since I am no expert on lunars). I admit to introducing the Shovell example, as well as writing "latitude" where I meant "longitude". I must have gotten the wrong idea reading Sobell. I have removed Shovell from lunar distance (navigation). George, please don't let me stand in the way of getting this right. Please go to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lunar_distance_%28navigation%29&action=edit and have a go at it. Alternatively, please go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_distance_%28navigation%29#Errors and select one of the "edit" links next to a section. This way, you can get to the section you want to edit without wading through all the other sections. I know that learning a new interface can seem daunting, but I'm willing to wager it is quicker and easier than learning to shoot and clear lunars. In this case, you just type what you want and then hit the "save" button. The gnomes will be happy to do the requisite "wikification".
