    No, it's not. Why don't you just try it out? Also, try the calculation using 27.24% (that's the value recommended in the Nautical Almanac --not that that's any reason to prefer it).

    Exact enough for lunars. 'Approximate' only from the point of view of an astronomer.

    The observed value of the Moon's diameter differed from the expected value of the Moon's diameter by 0.14 minutes of arc (which is a very small error --nothing to worry about).
