I just took a break from studying for that doggone CN exam and stepped outside in the cold to treat myself to an attempt at my first lunar observation. I had gone out to turn off the air compressor in my shop and was stunned by the spectacular view of those two heavenly bodies right from our front porch, so I just had to give it a shot: Venus/Moon WT 22h 00m 21s WE 08s fast ZD +4-1 for DST = +3 IE 2.7' on the arc hs 5d 57.1' GPS Fix: 46d 16' 37.4" N 063d 10' 48.8" W AstraIIIb, 6x30 telescope, split mirror. Of course at this point I have no idea what to do with the data. First that exam...
