    It's the same as the averager on the periscopic sextants and on the MA-2 except that it runs only one minute instead of two minutes. (I never found out why since it is actually a two minute aveerager modifieded to run only one minute.) The sextants were modified and electronic averagers were installed to replace the clockwork ones. I installed an electronic one that I took off one of my periscopic sextants on my MA-1 since the sextant requires electricity to make it work anyway. I may have a spare clockwork one around here somewhere, I will have to look for it.
