> Can someone tell me if this is correct? It is ! In the Archibald Smith's Formula d = A + B sin Cc + C cos Cc + D sin 2 Cc + E Cos 2 Cc A, D and E are the coeficients of the horizontal field of the soft irons. B and C are part soft part hard irons. A is constant. B and C change for 180?. ( haversine variation ) D and E change for 90?. ( sine variation ) Soft irons have non proper magnetism but an induction from the earth magnetic field an the field of the hard irons. (d is d?viation and Cc compass course) -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm
