Arthur- Worked your sun lunar and got 18:53:48. I don't graph, but averaging all the times and measurements, and allowing for the rate of change, suggested the time and distance you chose was about right. So I used your figures. But you wrote the moon's altitude down wrong in your e-mail. I got 30� 41.'7 for the moon's calculated altitude, and 29� 53.'2 for her apparent central altitude. Other values I got that were different: Moon's refraction and parallax: 48.'43 Sun's refraction and parallax: 1.'00 Moon's augmented semidiameter: 15.'88 Apparent distance: 99� 4.'2 (only 0.'1 different than what you got) Cleared distance: 98� 23.'7 GMT: 18:53:48 (three minutes, 48 seconds more than your GPS) You measured it too long, and I'm not surprised, given the length of the distance.
