I would like to thank Bill for offering a generous retraction and apology, which is gratefully accepted. As I had suspected (and hoped) the matter was simply the result of a misunderstanding, and now that that's been cleared up, we can forget about the whole business, and discuss better things instead. =================== Less easily forgotten, however, was an unpleasant message from Greg R, which leaves a nasty taste behind. (Navlist 5040, for those who relish such things). He saw a fellow-listmember struggling to defend himself against an unjust charge, and saw the chance to stick the knife in, in his own special way. And not for the first time, either. Greg R treated us to similar views last Autumn, under similar circumstances. We now all know those views well, and I hope we will not hear them again.
